Abstract:
Provided are a storage battery control device and method which make it possible to accurately monitor remaining discharge capacity and remaining charge capacity of each of a plurality of storage batteries and to perform discharging or charging at a total maximum output of the storage batteries for a long time, thereby contributing to an increase in power quality. Upon a command value reception unit 11 receiving a command value for discharging or charging, an SOC acquisition unit 13 acquires from each storage battery 2 the SOC of the storage battery 2. A time calculation unit 12 is fed with the SOC of each storage battery 2 from the SOC acquisition unit 13 and a maximum output of each storage battery from a rating recording unit 14, and calculates the duration of time that each storage battery 2 can discharge at the maximum output, by dividing the SOC of each storage battery 2 by the maximum output of each storage battery 2. A command value distribution unit 15 selects the storage batteries 2 in decreasing order of the duration of time of discharge at the maximum output, and distributes a command value to each storage battery 2.
