Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the problems such as a scratch on the skin of a human being, tearing of clothing caused by the wire end part produced by binding the wire at the time of putting the principal rib of the umbrella rib, the respective end parts of the branch ribs and upper and lower lathes in the connecting state when the umbrella is used. SOLUTION: After the mater rib of an umbrella rib 5 and the respective end parts of support ribs are assembled to the upper and lower lathes, respectively, a partition wall 18 or a cover is formed in such a manner as to be projected from the edge of longitudinal grooves 17 provided on the peripheral surfaces of the upper and lower lathes. After the wire end part 21 is stored in the longitudinal grooves 17, the partition wall 18 or the cover is bent to cover the longitudinal groove.
