PURPOSE: To improve the reliability, by storing defective loop position information of a magetic bubble memory element in a minor loop of other magnetic bubble memory elements independent with each other and recovering the destroyed storage through the readout of the storage from a corresponding element.

CONSTITUTION: Assuming that the system is constituting with two magnetic bubble memory elements BM0 and BM1. The information of itself and defective loop location information of the both are stored in a mapping memory M. The defective loop processing can be done based on the storage at normal operation. When a data in the elements is destroyed due to any cause, the defective loop location information of itself is read out from the counter memory element and written on the map loop of itself after the removal of a failure. Thus, magnetic bubble element with high reliability can be obtained inexpensively.
