Abstract:
To provide a stream reproducing apparatus capable of reproducing streams at a normal timing even if synchronous information included in stream data is incorrect.
In the apparatus, in recording the stream data, a timer generating section 130 generates an SW timer time stamp on the basis of a system clock corrected using PCR received together with the stream data, and a buffer section 140 records the stream to a storage section 200 together with the time stamp. Further, in reproducing the stream data, the previously stored stream data are reproduced using the SW timer time stamp stored together with the stream data.
