To provide a stress detector detecting psychological stress during driving or the like of a driver by a device as accurate and small as possible.
Electrodes (1, 2) are fitted to two parts (F1, F2) of a measurement object respectively and a voltage inversely proportional to the biological resistance of both electrodes (1, 2) interconnected by a cord (3) is measured in a measurement part in a transmission part 5. The voltage is converted to a frequency signal further and transmitted. On the reception side, the received frequency signal is returned to a voltage signal and the analyzed result of a short-term index and a long-term index further is output from it. The analyzed result of the short-term index is executed in the serial circuit of a differential filter and a peak hold part. There are two cases: a power source (6) is loaded on the stress detector on the transmission side; induced electromotive force from the stress detector on the reception side is the power source.
