Abstract:
Provided is a means for measuring stress on the basis of biological information that has been acquired from an animal. The present invention calculates the phase coherence of the instantaneous phase difference between the instantaneous phase of breath-derived heart rate variability acquired from an animal and the instantaneous phase of a breathing pattern in the same time series as the breath-derived heart rate variability on the basis of the instantaneous phase difference, calculates the breathing rate from the breathing pattern, and generates a stress indicator including the phase coherence and the breathing rate.
