Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method of producing stretchable towel fabric.
CONSTITUTION: In this stretchable towel fabric, the warp is composed of the warp pile yarns P1, P2 and the warp base yarns G1, G2, while the weft is composed of the weft base yarns 1, 2, 3 where the warp base yarns G2, G2 are made of stretchable yarns, for example, covering yarn prepared by covering polyurethane yarn with cotton yarns. The stretching yarns for warp base yarns G1, G2 are sized under their stretched state and the towel fabric is woven using the stretched base yarns G1, G2. After the towel is woven, the sizing agent is removed to shrink the stretchable yarns.
