Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restrain a flying phenomenon or a flapping phenomenon of a strip, and convey the strip stably at a high speed by arranging a guide plate having flat lower surface in the same direction above a conveyor to load/carry the strip.
CONSTITUTION: Since the tip rising height of a strip 5 is restricted by arranging a guide plate 6 having flat lower surface above a hot run table 2 in certain height, a flying phenomenon can be prevented from developing completely, and even if flying is once started, the strip 5 is again restored onto the hot run table 2 due to dead weight and flexural rigidity. Furthermore, impact force or frictional force in the case when the tip part of the strip 5 comes into collision with the guide plate 6 is decreased by a function of air, water and so on ejected from holes arranged in the guide plate 6. Further, the thin type strip 5 can be conveyed stably at high speed without turning it up to height higher than the guide plate 6 even in the case of a flapping phenomenon of the rear edge part of the strip 5.
