To display an image and a character so as to float up them on a tire at a certain fixed position during the rotation of the tire by momentarily flashing a light source in a synchronization with the rotation of the tire.

In this stroboscopic image and character display unit for the tire, an arbitrary character or an image is displayed on the tire and the light source 3 for irradiating the character or the image is provided. If the light source is only momentarily flashed at timing when the character or the image is passed through the irradiation position of the light source, the character or a still image or an animation can be displayed at an arbitrary position on the tire. Accordingly, a decoration property of a side surface is outstandingly enhanced and even if light is not applied from the side surface as in a reflection plate, a mark can be visually recognized. Further, light emission by private power generation is also easy.
