Title:
STRUCTURE OF HINGE PART OF FOLDING DOOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3955995
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a hinge part of a folding door, in which turnably-journaled child and parent doors are foldably coupled together via the hinge part, in which the parent door is provided in a suspended manner by a slider which is loosely fitted into an upper rail, which prevents fingers and clothing from being caught in the door in opening and closing operations, and in which the appearances of the hinge part are made almost the same as each other on the both sides of the folding door.
SOLUTION: In this structure of the hinge part, almost U-shaped cross-section side end members 9 and 9 are mounted at the side ends of the parent and child doors 1 and 2; a hinge 12 is formed at the tip of one arm of the member 9; an edge cover 11 is formed at the tip of the other arm; shaft pins 18 and 18, which are protruded from a coupling fitting 17, are fitted into shaft holes 13 and 13 of the hinges 12 and 12 so that the parent and child doors 1 and 2 can be coupled together. A hinge cover 16 is screwed astride both the hinges 12 and 12 in the state of being held in such a manner as to be sandwiched between the upper and lower coupling fittings 17 and 17.
