Self-piercing rivet 1 having a hollow space 1a which has a screw groove 1b and whose cross-section is reduced in a diameter, and having protrusion and recess 1d in at least part of an outer circumferential surface 1a thereof is embedded in a section where a plurality of members W1, W2 to be connected. At least one of the member W1 to be connected out of the plurality of members W1, W2 to be connected is a fiber-reinforced resin including a fiber material Wb inside a thermoplastic resin Wa. The protrusion and recess 1d is embedded in at least the fiber-reinforced resin material W1. A screw material 2 is screwed to the screw groove 1b of the hollow space 1a. The screw material 2 applies a pressure Q to the side with respect to the Self-piercing rivet 1, which formes a connection structure 10.
