To provide a structure for mounting an elevator compensation rope, allowing the safe and efficient mounting of the compensation rope at one end on the lower part of an elevator car.
An opening portion 12 is provided in a car floor 11 of the elevator car 2 and a rope mount 14 is provided near the lower part of the opening portion 12. In the state that the car 2 and a balancing weight 3 are stopped near an uppermost floor hall F2 and a lowermost floor hall F1, respectively, the compensation rope 5 with one end suspended by a winch 15 is mounted on the rope mount 14 through the car 2, with the other end mounted on the balancing weight 3. Thus, mounting work for the compensation rope 5 is accomplished without requiring the elevating operation of the passenger car 2 and the balancing weight 3.
