Abstract:

To predict the tire performance by preparing a finite element model of a tire in the desired rolling state in a short processing time.

The finite element model of the tire to be analyzed is prepared, and on the basis of the prepared model a rigid body model is prepared in which the finite element of the finite element model is converted into a rigid body, and the dynamic information to express the rolling condition of the rigid model is calculated by giving a parallel displacement speed and a rotational angular speed to the rigid model, and the finite element model in the rolling condition in which the tire in the desired rolling condition is reproduced is prepared by restituting the rigid model having the dynamic information to the previous finite element model. Further the dry performance of the tire is predicted using the obtained finite element model in the rolling condition, or the wet performance of the tire is predicted by putting it in interference with a fluid model.
