To suppress the blow of the blow-by gas from an oil return passage by a considerably simple configuration without requiring a separate part when an oil separator for a blow-by gas circulating system is installed on the rear surface of a cylinder head cover.
In this structure of the oil separator of the blow-by gas circulating system, an oil separation chamber 20 is formed by covering a part of the rear surface of the cylinder head cover 1 by a cover body 10. The oil separated in the oil separation chamber is returned to the cylinder head side. An annular cylindrical part 6 projects from the rear surface of the cylinder head cover toward the cover body side. A recessed oil sump part 30 having the oil return passage 32 surrounded by an annular wall part 31 is formed in the cover body. In the assembled state, the annular cylindrical part is inserted into the oil sump part, and surrounds the outside of the annular wall part. The predetermined gap is formed between the bottom wall of the oil sump part and the end of the annular cylindrical part.
