Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure whose durability is enhanced and by which a pressure can be measured with high accuracy and with high stability by a method wherein a pressure sensor is covered with an elastic substance which contains a light-blocking substance.
SOLUTION: The circumference of a sensor body 8 and that in the wiring part of an extrafine conductor 9 are filled with a rubberlike elastic substance 13 so as to come into contact with the inside wall of a sensor mounting base 14b, the sensor body and the extrafine conductor are protected physically and chemically, and they are protected mechanically by a cover plate 6c which is fixed and bonded to the sensor mounting base 14b. In addition, the sensor body 8 is made of a semiconductor material, and a danger that a leak is caused by external light such as sunlight or the like is large. However, the sensor body is protected also optically when a light- blocking pigment is contained in the elastic substance 13 which covers the sensor body. The sensor mounting base 14b is inserted from the outside of an armor, it is force-fitted to a windshield glass 5c via a waterproof packing 15b, and the sensor body 8 is coupled electrically to a signal processing circuit via a conductive pin 16 and a spring 11 which is brought into pressure contact with one end of it. Thereby, the durability of a structure is sufficient, and a pressure can be measured with high accuracy and with high stability.
