To provide a structure for supporting a furniture top plate, by which even a top plate different in cross sectional shape is connected to a common panel shape leg or a panel shape end member.

A sideway rectangular recessed part 15 is formed on an inner surface corresponding to the top plate end surface in a panel body EP 2 which supports the end part of the top plate 12. A top plate connecting member 14 is formed to have an outer shape to be tightly fixed to the recessed part 15 so as to be loosely fitted and includes, on one surface, a connection recessed part 14a having a shape being the same as the cross section of the top plate to be supported. The top plate connection member 14 is fixed by fitting the connection recessed part 14a to the recessed part 15 on the inner surface of the panel body EP 2 so as to face an outer surface. Support is performed by fitting the end surface of the top plate 12 to the connection recessed part 14a.
