PURPOSE: To improve working efficiency and quality by providing a delivery part and an inserting part, eliminating the deformation and damage during transfer of studs to a welding gun and enabling automation of stud welding.

CONSTITUTION: A desired stud 2A is selected from a parts feeder 1A and is housed through a chute 5 into the hole 7a of a moving element 7. The element 7 moves and the stud 2A housed in the hole 7A is transferred through a hose 13 for transfer by compressed air to a slider 22, by which the stud is housed in a hole 22a. The stud 2A housed therein is repositioned by a guide 28 so as to be aligned to the axial center of the holding part 15a of a welding gun 15 and is thus fed to the gun 15. The gun 15 is turned so that the stud 2A is welded to the prescribed position of an object to be worked.
