Title:
STYLET FOR BIOPSY NEEDLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3198375
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of the surgical treatment, by arranging to hold tissue in place in relation to a particular resected groove, cut a sample, and make up for the groove with it, during the proceeding of a resecting cannula over the groove.
CONSTITUTION: A probe 10A contained in the tubelike interior of the stylet for a biopsy needle so that it can slide and rotate has a groove 32 with a bottom wall 34 having a border on the both sides extending along the axial line A; and an end wall 38 and a base end wall 40 are formed on the surface inclining at the acute angle (a = about 45°) to the bottom wall 34. And the probe 10A is combined with a tubelike inner resecting cannula 42 and a tubelike outer cannula 44; and the probe 10A and the cannula 44 are sustained so as to make a rotational displacement relatively in the axial direction. The inner resecting cannula 42 has an end section 46 with a tapered end resecting edge 48 including a resecting tip 50 at the end of the resecting cannula; on the other hand, the outer cannula 44 has an end section 52 including a tapered end 54.
