Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a styrene resin composition improved in permanent antielectrostatic properties, mechanical properties and heat stability by mixing a resin mixture containing a styrene resin and a specified polyamideimide elastomer with an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A polyamideimide elastomer of a relative viscosity >=1.5 at 30 deg.C is obtained by polymerizing caprolactam with a tribasic or tetrabasic aromatic polycarboxylic acid which can form at least one imide ring and 30-85wt.% polyoxyethylene glycol of a number-average MW of 500-5000 or polyalkylene glycol mixture based thereon and optionally a 2-10C diamine at 150-300 deg.C while keeping the water content in the formed polymer at 0.1-1wt.%. 100 pts.wt. resin mixture containing 70-97wt.% styrene resin (e.g. ABS resin) and 30-3wt.% said elastomer is mixed with 0.01-10 pts.wt. organic and/or inorganic electrolytes (e.g. sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate).
