To provide a foamed product with excellent recycling property (environmental suitability), thermal stability, heat insulation property and frame retardancy by using a foaming agent with little load on environment.
The styrenic resin foamed product is produced by extrusion and foaming of a composition containing a styrenic resin, a frame retardant and the foaming agent. The frame retardant contains both (a) halogen compound(s) of the formulae: R-(Y)m (1) and/or R-(O-Y)n (2) in which R represents a group having an aromatic ring and/or a heterocyclic ring, Y represents a 1-10C aliphatic group having at least one halogen atom, and (m) and (n) represent each an integer of 1 or over, and (b) 5 wt% decreasing temperatures of 250°C or over determined at a condition of 10°C/minute of heating rate under nitrogen atmosphere, and the foaming agent(s) is(are) composed of one or more 3-5C saturated hydrocarbon(s) and water, and optionally further may contain the other non-chlorofluorocarbon foaming agent.
