Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary chamber type gas engine capable of suppressing variation in flame propagation in a main combustion chamber.SOLUTION: An auxiliary chamber type gas engine comprises: a main chamber formation part which forms a main combustion chamber; an auxiliary chamber formation part which forms an auxiliary chamber linked to the main combustion chamber through a plurality of injection holes; and an ignition device which is provided at the auxiliary chamber and has an ignition part separated from a main chamber center axis. The main combustion chamber has, in a plan view, an ignition near-side region, defined with a border line passing the main chamber center axis, on a side where the ignition part is positioned, and an ignition far-side region on the opposite side from the ignition near-side region. At least one of a piston and a cylinder head includes a first inner surface facing the first region included in the ignition near-side region and a second inner surface facing the second region included in the ignition far-side region, the first inner surface having lower heat shielding performance than the second inner surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
