Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a parallel processing at high speed by preventing access collision while suppressing an increase in storage capacity for a buffer memory.
SOLUTION: A subband encoder divides an input signal into areas and divides band in a parallel processing by band-dividing filter banks 104-0 through 104-3 corresponding to the areas. In an input buffer memory section, signals used for processing of the corresponded areas are written in memory devices 102-0, 102-2, 102-4 and 102-6 corresponding to the areas, and signals used in two areas adjacent to the vicinity of an area-dividing boundary are written in storage devices 102-1, 102-3 and 102-5 corresponding to the other area-dividing boundary.
