Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize cut trees or the like disposed in the past by including wooden pieces obtained by crushing the cut trees or the like in a thick subgrade.
SOLUTION: Soil, wooden pieces, and a stabilizer are mixed, this mixture is uniformly compacted to form the subgrade 12, and pavement is provided on the subgrade 12. The wooden pieces are included by 10-30 wt.% against the soil, and the stabilizer is included by 2-20 wt.% against the soil. The soil is collected from the land where the subgrade 12 is to be formed, and the wooden pieces are formed by cutting and crushing the trees existing on the land where the subgrade 12 is to be formed. The average diameter of the wooden pieces is 1-20 mm, and the average length of the wooden pieces is 10-200 mm. One of Portland cement, blast furnace cement, and a cement series solidifier is normally used for the stabilizer.
