To provide a substrate transformer which can be reduced in height and size and easily meets a request of insulation by forming primary and secondary coils using the front and rear layers of a plurality of substrates.
The substrate transformer is provided with a primary coil 13 having a printed wiring 11 formed on a first layer of a first substrate 10, a printed wiring 12 formed on a second layer and a piercing wiring 14 for connecting the two printed wirings; and a secondary coil 23 having a printed wiring 21 formed on a first layer of a second substrate 20, a printed wiring 22 formed on a second layer and a piercing wiring 24 for connecting the two printed wirings. The coils are disposed so that the center portion of each of the printed wirings of the primary coil 13 and the secondary coil 23 may be superimposed in perpendicular directions of the substrates 10, 20.
