A suction device for a vacuum cleaner is constituted of a suction device main body 1 requiring electric power, a bent joint 21 extended backward from the suction main body 1, a fitting part 66 present at the other end of the bent joint 21 to be inserted into the inner periphery 65 of an extension tube 26, connecting pins 28 present in parallel with the fitting part 66, protruded from the bent joint 21, and connected to the extension tube 26 to receive power supply, and a regulating plate 43 protruded in the same direction as the connecting pins 28 and provided so as to come into contact with the outer periphery of the extension tube 26 especially so that the connecting pins 28 may come between the regulating plate 43 and the fitting part 66. By this, as the stress the connecting pins 28 receive from the outside is received at the regulating plate 43, the durability and reliability of electric connection are improved for not damaging the connecting pins 28.
