Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wheels from wearing lopsidedly, suppress noise, and protect a cleaning surface from scratching by arranging at least a pair of rotating shafts for wheels provided at the underside of a suction opening in a tilted state in the longitudinal direction of the suction opening.
SOLUTION: A pair of front wheels 125 to move the entire suction opening back and force and keep a fixed clearance between the underside and a cleaning surface and a roller 132 to receive pressure to the cleaning surface while the vacuum cleaner is used, are arranged in the lower case of the suction opening. Axles 126 that support rotatably the pair of front wheels 125 are attached to a lower case at an angle of about 30 degrees in the longitudinal direction of the suction opening, and provided symmetrically in a truncated chevron shape to the center line of the suction opening. Therefore, as the front wheels 125 rotate while sliding even if the suction opening is moved longitudinally or laterally, the front wheels 125 slide in their entire circumferences and are kept from wearing lopsidedly, thereby ensuring direct advance stability for the suction opening together with the rollers 132.
