To provide a suede-like artificial leather having good light-fastness, when the suede-like artificial leather is formed out of a polyester ultrafine fiber and polyurethane and structured so that plush of the polyester ultrafine fiber is formed on at least one of surfaces thereof, and to provide a method for producing the same.
This suede-like artificial leather is obtained by napping at least one of surfaces of a base body formed out of an entangled nonwoven fabric of the polyester ultrafine fiber having a fineness of ≤0.8 dtex and the polyurethane, dyeing the napped base body with a disperse dye, and subjecting the dyed base body to reduction cleaning, wherein the artificial leather is dyed and subjected to the reduction cleaning in such a condition that the polyurethane has a K/S-value (A1) satisfying the following inequality: (A1)≤(A0)+0.5, when measured after dyed and subjected to the reduction cleaning, by comparing with a K/S-value (A0) which the polyurethane has before dyed, and the artificial leather contains a hindered amine-based photostabilizer.
