Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharger capable of suppressing an increase of a flow path resistance.SOLUTION: A supercharger 10 includes a compressor housing 13, and a seal plate 14 assembled thereon to form a suction passage 16 where a wall face 13d of the compressor housing 13 for a scroll chamber 16e has a larger curvature radius in a cross section including a compressor rotation axis as further extending to an exit 16f on the downstream side in the exhaust direction of the scroll chamber 16e. A plate side connection part 14d of the seal plate 14 to the compressor housing 13 is protruded in the direction of the compressor rotation axis, and the inner face of the seal plate 14 continuous with the scroll chamber 16e of the suction passage 16 has a larger curvature radius in a cross section including the compressor rotation axis as further extending to the exit of the scroll chamber 16e.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
