Title:
SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3305542
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration of a permanent current switch and improve stability, by arranging the permanent current switch in the vicinity of a thermal insulation retaining member.
SOLUTION: This superconducting magnet equipment consists of an external tank vessel 7, a fixing shaft 8, thermal insulation retaining part member 9, an internal tank vessel 10, a superconducting coil 11, a shielding plate 12, a support 13, a refrigerant reservoir 16, a storing tank 17, liquid helium 18 and a pipe 19. A permanent current switch 20 for turning a coil current of the superconducting coil 11 into the permanent current mode is constituted of a plurality of switch elements 20a, and arranged in the vicinity of the thermal insulating retaining part member 9. The permanent current switch 20 is retained by the external tank vessel 7 via the fixing shaft 8 which vessel is fixed to a truck frame and has a high regidity, and arranged at a position where vibration due to the electromagnetic force applied to the supperconducting coil 11 is little. Thereby stability of the permanent current switch 20 is improved, and a superconducting magnetic equipment wherein reduction of weight and improvement of workability are possible can be obtained.
