To provide a motor cooling structure of a superconducting-motor automobile that can prevent excessive generation of gaseous hydrogen from liquid hydrogen that is a cooling medium, while achieving effective cooling of a motor and reduction in loss.
The motor cooling structure of the superconducting-motor automobile comprises a superconducting motor 1; a liquid hydrogen tank 51 that reserves liquid hydrogen; a liquid nitrogen tank 52 that reserves liquid nitrogen; a cooling medium passage 6 for coil cooling formed in the superconducting motor 1; and a cooling medium feeding means 7 that feeds the cooling medium to the cooling medium passage 6 for coil cooling from the liquid hydrogen tank 51 or the liquid nitrogen tank 52. The cooling medium feeding means 7 comprises a feed control part 9, that selects feeding to the cooling medium passage 6 for coil cooling from the liquid hydrogen tank 51, or to the cooling medium passage 6 for coil cooling from the liquid nitrogen tank 52. The superconducting motor 1 is cooled by either the liquid hydrogen or the liquid nitrogen, depending on the generation amount of the gaseous hydrogen.
