Abstract:
To provide a method of producing an optical film support body including conveying a flow casting dope while supporting the dope, the method being capable of reducing surface quality deterioration of the optical film, increasing a long run quality of the support body, and easily reducing curling of the optical film.SOLUTION: A method of producing an optical film of this invention includes steps S13 and S14 of forming plural lining layers on a metal belt, where surface roughness Ra of an uppermost lining layer which is farthest away from the metal belt is made 3-200 nm. Hardness of the uppermost lining layer is higher than hardness of at least one lining lay which is positioned on a metal belt side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
