Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support device capable of supporting a large load in comparison with a conventional case while following a shape of a work.SOLUTION: A gripping device 21 which is a support device comprises a contact member 11 which contacts a work 50, and supports the work 50 via the contact member 11, in which the contact member 11 comprises: a rigid body support part 3 which has a rigid body contacting at least one part of the work 50; and a following support part 4 which has a bag body 4a filled with a granular object 4b, hardens the granular object 4b in the bag body 4a in a shape following an outer surface shape of the work 50, and performs surface contact with the work 50 by increasing volume ratio of the granular object 4b to convent volume of the bag body 4a while setting the bag body 4a along the outer surface shape of the work 50.
