Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate master which has excellent sensitivity, stain resistance and plate wear resistance and in which a coating fault does not occur at the other end side of a gripper of an adjacent part of a solid image part to a non-image part in printing or the like by an offset rotary printer and to provide a support for the lithographic printing plate.
SOLUTION: The support for the lithographic printing plate is obtained by specific surface treating an aluminum plate. The support has a surface area difference obtained by dividing the real area obtained by using an interatomic force microscope (AFM) by an apparent area for the surface of the support of 10 to 90%, an area ratio of the part having an inclining degree of 30° obtained by using the AFM of 75% or less, and an arithmetic mean roughness after the component of the wavelength of 0.1 to 2 μm is extracted from a measured sectional curve obtained by using the AFM of 0.25 μm. The lithographic printing plate master comprises an image recording layer provided on the support for the lithographic printing plate.
