Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite magnetic material which has an excellent effect of attenuating noises of 100 to 400 MHz so as to meet and EMC standard and is very thin (e.g. 0.4 mm or below in thickness), and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.
SOLUTION: The composite magnetic material 1 is composed of soft magnetic metal phases 2 and insulating phases 3 interposed between the soft magnetic metal phases 2. At this point, the soft magnetic metal phase 2 is formed by pressure-bonding flat soft magnetic metal powder coated with insulating films. The insulating phase 3 is formed of the insulating film. The space factor of the soft magnetic metal phase 2 to the composite magnetic material 1 can be set at 50% or above. Furthermore, the composite magnetic material 1 can be formed into a sheet shape having a thickness of 5 μm to 0.4 mm.
