To provide a system which enables a golfer during his play to confirm golf scores and a ranking simultaneously as it develops.
The support system for playing golf consists of a small-sized computer 2 of a communication terminal with a golfer carries to input his own scores, a host computer 1 for control which has a database of accumulated information on the golf-play such as players, teams, scores, holes and a cellular network 4 which transmits and receives information between the small-sized computer terminal 2 and the host computer 1. By receiving the information accumulated on the database in the host computer 1 via the small-sized computer terminal 2, the golfer can learn scores and a ranking of all the players in real time while the golfer is playing. The small-sized computer terminal 2 can pinpoint the present location of the players by loading a global positioning system which communicates with a GPS satellite 3.
