Abstract:
To provide a supporting body for a positive or negative lithographic printing plate and to provide a master plate for a lithographic printing plate by using that supporting body in which a hydrophilic layer has high hydrophilicity and excellent bonding force with a supporting body and the contaminating property during printing is improved so that no contamination is caused even under severe printing conditions.
The plate has a hydrophilic layer and an image forming layer on a supporting body. The hydrophilic layer consists of a polymer compound directly and chemically bonded to the surface of the supporting body and having hydrophilic functional groups.
