Title:
SUPRAMOLECULAR COMPLEX OF ZINC PORPHYRIN DENDRIMER AND PYRIDYLNAPHTHALENEDIIMIDE HAVING MANY ARTIFICIAL PHOTOSYNTHETIC REACTION CENTERS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3953037
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a light energy conversion system which has many artificial photosynthetic reaction centers and shows a high light-collecting capability and charge-separation capability, by using a supramolecular complex of a zinc porphyrin dendrimer formed by using a coordinate bond.
SOLUTION: The zinc porphyrin dendrimer is used as a globular zinc porphyrin oligomer to establish a supramolecule of the zinc porphyrin dendrimer and pyridylnaphthalenediimide. Photoexcitation of the zinc porphyrin in the zinc porphyrin dendrimer/pyridylnaphthalenediimide supramolecule can induce a charge-separated state through photoexcited electron transfer, which lasts as long as 830 μsec.
