Abstract:
A surface-coated cubic boron nitride sintered body comprises a substrate, which is a cubic boron nitride sintered body, and a coating film that comes into contact with and covers the substrate. At the interface between the cubic boron nitride in the substrate and the coating film, the Fe content is 1 at% or less, the W content is 1 at% or less, and the O content is 2 at% or less.
