Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface enhanced Raman scattering unit capable of suppressing breakage in a surface enhanced Raman scattering element and degradation of an optical functional part during transportation, and to provide a Raman spectroscopy method using the surface enhanced Raman scattering unit.SOLUTION: A surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) unit 1A includes: an SERS element 2 having a substrate 21 and an optical functional part 20 formed on the substrate 21 and inducing surface enhanced Raman scattering; a transportation substrate 3 which supports the SERS element 2 during transportation and is removed from the SERS element 2 upon starting measurement; and a holding part 4 having a nipping part 41 which nips the SERS element 2 together with the transportation substrate 3 and holds the SERS element 2 as detachable on the transportation substrate 3.
