To provide a magnetic coupling device capable of reducing a suction force in an axial direction without reducing a torque transmission power.

The driving shaft 1 and driven shaft 2 of this magnetic coupling device are arranged so as to have the same axis, and they are supported by bearings 9 and 10 respectively. To the axis edge of the opposite side of the driving shaft 1 and that of the driven shaft 2, a disc-shaped driving side permanent magnet 3 and a disc-shaped driven side permanent magnet 4 are fixed respectively. On the counterface surface of the driving side permanent magnet 3 and the driven side permanent magnet 4, magnetic pole patterns 5 and 6 with a plurality of pairs of magnetic poles magnetized are formed in a circumferential direction respectively. The driving shaft 1 and the driven shaft 2 are configured to be combined in a non-contact manner by the suction force of magnetic poles 5a and 6a so as to make torque transmission. In addition, in the inner circumference or the outer circumference of each of the magnetic pole patterns 5 and 6 formed on the driving side permanent magnet 3 and the driven side permanent magnet 4 respectively, ring-shaped unipolar patterns 7 and 8 magnetized in the monopole are formed. These unipolar patterns 7 and 8 are made to be surface-facing each other.
