Title:
SURFACE FINISH METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0226674
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain metallic appearance by applying a metal flame spray film to a base material to be subjected to flame spraying and subsequently applying color paint thereto and, after drying, grinding the film and then applying clear paint finish.

CONSTITUTION: Resin compositions 2, 2', 2'' and metal flame spray films 3, 3', 3'' are applied to base materials 1, 1', 1'' and color paints 4, 4', 4'' are applied to the recessed parts of the flame spray films. Clear or color clear paints 5, 5', 5" are applied to the outermost layers. As a material to be subjected to flame spraying, a steel plate, a non-ferrous metal plate or a plastic plate is used. As the resin composition applied before the flame spraying of a metal, a thermoplastic acrylic resin, a vinyl resin, chlorinated rubber, an unsaturated polyester resin or the like are used. The coating amount of the composition must be set to 10-400g/m2. By this method, the base material rich in three- dimensional feeling and design effect can be obtained.
