To obtain a surface finishing material having a coating film excellent in water resistance, acid resistance, water absorption preventive properties, durability, weather resistance and rear side water-barrier properties, having superior storage stability and capable of simply being applied by using a material consisting of a mixture of an aqueous liquid emulsion of a fluororesin and another aqueous liquid emulsion of a specific silane compound(s) as the finishing material.
This finishing material consists of a mixture of an aqueous liquid emulsion of a fluororesin and another aqueous liquid emulsion of a silane compound(s). The fluororesin used is a copolymer obtained by preferably copolymerizing the following monomers: a fluoroolefin (such as chlorotrifluoroethylene); a vinyl carboxylate (such as vinyl acetate); an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a hydrophilic functional group(s), (such as 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid); and another copolymerizable monomer(s) used if necessary. The silane compound(s) used is a compound(s) which has a hydrolyzable functional group(s) and is preferably selected from monomers, dimers, trimers and oligomers of compounds represented by the structural formula RnSi(R1)4-n (wherein: (n) is 1 to 3; R is a hydrophobic group; and R1 is a hydrolyzable substituent), (such as hexyltriethoxysilane).
