Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source required which manufacturing only a light capture port with high accuracy, capable of manufacturing a large-sized light guide plate with ease at a low cost, capable of uniformizing the luminance of irradiating light, and most suitable for a LED indoor lighting system by modularizing only a light capture port to the light guide plate, and manufacturing the same separately from the light guide plate.
SOLUTION: A light capture port comprising a transparent medium for causing light to be incident from the end face of a light guide plate 2 is formed as a module 13 separately from the light guide plate 2. Thereby, the light capture port module 13 is only necessary to be made in required accuracy, the manufacturing of the light guide plate 2 is facilitated, and since the result a large size light guide plate 2 can be manufactured with ease at low cost. The shape of a boundary face between the light capture port module 13 and the light guide plate 2 is set, so that a ray irradiated from the light source is not allowed to be totally reflected from the boundary face.
