Abstract:
To provide a surface light source device using a film with light scattering property, with uniform brightness within the surface.
This surface light source device is mainly composed of an edge input light guide 3 made of a transparent medium and having a light outgoing surface and an end surface; a regular reflecting plate installed on the opposite side to the light guide body 3; and a light source mounted on the end of the light guide body 3. A haze film is stuck on at least one side of the light guide 3 through an adhesive layer, and light is emitted. The amount of outgoing light is controlled by limiting the stuck portion of the light guide 3 with the haze film at a desired area and/or position.
