Abstract:
To provide a surface lighting device effectively used for surface lighting.
The lighting device comprises at least one semiconductor laser bar (1) having a plurality of emitters, the mutual intervals of each of which are smaller than expansions of the emitters in a first direction (X); and a beam conversion means (3) to convert laser light emitted from each emitter. The conversion means (3) is structured to enable a divergence of laser light in the first direction (X) to be converted with a divergence in a second direction (Y) and structured to have an interval overlapping with each other to the laser bar (1) in the first direction (X), at least when laser light form the two directly adjacent emitters is reached to the conversion means (3).
