Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide surface treatment tools (200), methods, and/or treated turbomachine components (210). A surface treatment tool (200) according to the present disclosure can include a lathe assembly (202) having a lathe chuck (204) for receiving a component (210) thereon, wherein the lathe chuck (204) rotates the component (210) about a first axis of rotation, and wherein the component (210) includes an exposed axial target surface (216); and a sander (220) coupled to the lathe assembly (202) and including a sanding surface (222) thereon, coupled to a drive system, wherein the sanding surface (222) is oriented along a second axis substantially non-parallel with the first axis of rotation, such that the sanding surface (222) selectively contacts the target surface (216) of the component (210) to yield a polished target surface (216).
