Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably operate a dehydrator to improve productivity by providing a controller consisting of a volumetric flowmeter for measuring a flow rate of a suspension fed to the dehydrator and a control means for controlling a feed flow rate so that the solid quantity in the suspension may be fixed.
SOLUTION: A suspension feed controller is connected between a dehydrator 1 and a device 2 of a prestage for feeding a suspension to the dehydrator 1, and is constituted of a volumetric flowmeter 3 for measuring a flow rate of a suspension fed to the dehydrator 1 and a control means S for controlling the feed flow rate so that the solid quantity in the suspension may be fixed. The control means S is constituted of a concentration meter 5 and a control valve 6 connected to a connecting pipe 4 arranged between the device 2 of a pre-stage and the dehydrator 1 putting the volumetric flowmeter 3 between them and a controller 7 connected to the concentration meter 5, the control valve 6 and the volumetric flowmeter 3. In this way, the solid quantity of the suspension fed in the dehydrator is fixed, allowing abnormal vibration, damage to a feeding tube, and the like in the dehydrator to be reduced.
