Title:
LENS MATERIAL FOR EYE CONTAINING ULTRAVIOLET RAY-ABSORBING POLYMER NOT HAVING POLYMERIZABLE GROUP AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3672370
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject material excellent in transparency, hardly causing elution of the polymer, having high safety and useful as a lens for eyes by mixing an ultraviolet ray absorbing polymer with a specific polymer.
SOLUTION: (A) A mixture obtained by mixing (i) 1mol triazole of the formula [R1 is a 1-6C alkyl; R2 is H or CH3; (n) is 2 or 3] with (ii) 0.25-4mol either at least one kind of monomer of (meth)acrylic acid 1-3C alkyl ester or hydroalkyl ester, acrylamides and N-vinyllactam is copolymerized to afford (B) an ultraviolet rays-absorbing polymer not having a polymerizable group, and the component B in an amount of 0.1-20 pts.wt. is mixed with (C) 80-99.9 pts.wt. polymerizable component containing the component (i), and the component C contained in the mixture is polymerized so that the total amount becomes 100 pts.wt. and the component C contained in the mixture is polymerized to provide the objective material containing the polymer blend.
