Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare a stable aqueous dispersion of an active substance for protecting plants without any environmental problems by using a surface-active system composed of a nontoxic and nonirritating biodegradable compound. CONSTITUTION: This stable concentrated suspension of (A) a substantially insoluble solid active substance having >=45 deg.C melting point, e.g. atrazine, diuron or triflumizole comprises the component A, (B) a sucroglyceride, preferably obtained by transesterification of a natural glyceride such as castor oil, beef tallow or coconut oil with sucrose, (C) an alkoxylated triglyceride, an alkoxylated fatty acid, sorbitan ester and/or an alkoxylated sorbitan ester and (D) water as essential components and preferably further contains (E) a phospholipid. When the content of the active substance A is higher than 30wt.% based on the volume of the suspension, (F) a lubricant such as an anionic surface-active agent or an alkoxylated alcohol is further added thereto.
