Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively prevent biased abrasion between a piston and a cylinder bore by restraining tilting of the piston by side force in a single-head piston type swash plate type compressor.
CONSTITUTION: A single-head type piston 19 moored to a swash plate 15 through a shoe 17 acts direct in each of cylinder bores 1a arranged in parallel around a drive shaft 4. The center of a spherical seat 19c of the piston 19 supporting the shoe 17 is biased in the centrifugal direction of the swash plate 15 against the center of the cylinder bore 1a. In consideration of a horizontal component of the shoe 17 pressing the piston 19, angular moment to tilt the piston 19 inward in the diametrical direction works. This angular moment antagonizes side force which the piston 19 receives from the shoe 17. As tilting of the piston 19 is restrained, it is possible to effectively prevent biased abrasion due to one side contact between the piston 19 and the cylinder bore 1a.
